Funding Rates & Open Interest
Live funding rates and open interest for the top 150 futures markets on Binance, Bybit and OKX. Spot overheated coins before the squeeze.
What is funding?
Every few hours, futures traders on one side pay the other to keep the price close to spot. Positive funding means longs pay shorts; negative means shorts pay longs. 0.01% per 8 hours is the normal baseline.
Why does it matter?
Very high funding means too many traders are long with leverage. That often ends with a sharp drop that liquidates them (a long squeeze). Very negative funding can fuel a short squeeze upwards.
Open interest
The total value of open futures positions. Rising OI with rising price means new money is joining the move; rising OI with falling price usually means new shorts. A sudden OI drop means positions were closed or liquidated.
